Hot and Getting Hotter

The hottest air of the summer will spread into the area from the west making for dangerous conditions, according to the National Weather Service. Strong high pressure will build over the rest of the weekend and remain situated over the region into at least the middle of next week. High temps are expected to peak near 102 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday. Although the official temperature didn’t reach 100 degrees on Saturday, this shaded outdoor thermometer did.
