By Michael Smith Editor It’s hard to imagine anything capable of intimidating Drew Herring. In his four years at Carolina Forest High School, the 6-3, 320-pound was a force on the offensive and defensive line. Even in his senior year, in which injury sidelined him most of the season, Herring still managed to lead the Panthers in grading and pancake blocks. Now he’s a freshman again, this time at Coastal Carolina University. And while Herring seemed to hold his own on the field during the first of four scrimmages Aug. 12, the Carolina Forest alumnus knows he still has a lot to learn. “In high school, I could get away with being big and manhandling everyone,” Herring said. “But in college you have to have the technique.
